Email collector widget

Email collector popup that asks politely and alerts you instantly

An email collector popup is a compact form that invites visitors to join your list. AutoSocialProof's version asks for name and email, can require a privacy-policy checkbox, stores every submission in the widget's Data tab and can ping you by email, webhook, Slack, Discord, Telegram or Microsoft Teams.

Who uses a email collector popup?

  • Content sites growing a newsletter
  • Stores collecting launch or restock lists
  • SaaS waitlists
  • Coaches building a lead list

<script defer src="https://app.autosocialproof.com/pixel/YOUR_PIXEL_KEY.js"></script>
  1. Add the pixel once

If your site already has the AutoSocialProof pixel for this campaign, skip this. Otherwise paste the one-line script before </head>.

    Already there.

  2. Create a email collector popup

In your campaign choose "Create notification", then "Email collector". Write the text, pick a theme and a position.

    Looks like my brand.

  3. Choose where leads go

Add notification handlers so each submission pings Email, Webhook, Slack, Discord, Telegram or Microsoft Teams. Everything is also kept in the Data tab.

    Slack it is.

  4. Pick the moment and the audience

Set the display trigger (delay, scroll, exit intent, time on site, pageviews, inactivity, click, hover or element visible), frequency, pages, devices, countries and languages.

Email collector popup questions

Where do collected emails go?

Every submission is stored in the widget's Data tab, where you can export it. Add a notification handler and each new lead is also sent to email, a webhook, Slack, Discord, Telegram or Microsoft Teams.

Can I connect Mailchimp, Klaviyo or ConvertKit?

Use the webhook handler with an automation tool such as Zapier or Make to pass each new lead to your email platform. There is no native one-click connector, and we say so plainly.

Is it GDPR friendly?

You can require an agreement checkbox linked to your privacy policy and collect only name and email. You remain the controller of the data you collect; see our DPA.

When should the popup appear?

Exit intent on desktop and a scroll-depth trigger (for example 50%) on mobile are good starting points. Avoid showing it on the first second of the first page view.

Will it show again after someone signs up?

No, unless you want it to. The "after submit" rule can hide it forever or wait a set number of pageviews or minutes.

Can I offer a discount code?

Yes. Mention the offer in the text and deliver the code through your email tool, or pair the collector with the coupon widget on your thank-you page.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. You can control mobile and desktop separately, pick the position and keep the close button visible.

Can I use the signups as social proof?

Yes. Choose the collector as a data source for a recent-signups popup ("Ana from Porto just joined").

Is there a limit on submissions?

Plans limit websites, widgets and monthly impressions, not the number of leads you collect.
